National Workshop on Field Biology for A/L teachers
To reach out-of Colombo target groups this was organized in collaboration with Motivation Sri Lanka, and held in Ratnapura, covering almost all districts in the country. There were participants from North and Eastern provinces too.

August 19, 2007 - Workshop
Bioethics workshop
This workshop was held in collaboration with the National Science Foundation (NSF) and IOB at the NSF auditorium.
Ms. D. N. De Silva, Dr. M. R. Wijesinghe, Prof. V. Basnayake, Dr. D. Weerakoon and Dr. W. B. Yapa conducted the workshop. About 20 teachers from different areas were participated from different areas. There will be a follow-up session.

Two Bronze medals at International Biology Olympiad 2009
Two Sri Lankan students won Bronze medals at 20th International Biology Olympiad held in Tsukuba, Japan, which held from 12- 19 July 2009. More.. .

Intenational Biology Olympiad (IBO) 2009
Three Jury members and four students particpate IBO 2009 in July in Tsukuba, Japan. Mobitel, Sri Lanka is the official sponsor for the tour.
