Annual sessions of the Institute of Biology was held on 30 September 2011 at Open University of Sri Lanka. Program for Technical Sessions
Arun Rajaratnam of Trinity College, Kandy won a Silver Medal at the International Biology Olympiad held at Taipei, Taiwan which concluded on 17 July 2011.
