Sri Lankan Biology Olympiad 2009 examination was conducted from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon on Sunday 28 June 2009 at Colombo, Eastern, Jaffna, Peradeniya, Ruhuna and Sri Jayewardenepura Universities..

Results of 2009 Sri Lankan Biology Olympiad

Medal winners will be notified and will be awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze medals at IOB sessions on 25 September 2009 at SLAAS, Vidya Mawatha, Colombo 7. 

Best three students will also be felicitated with other National Olympiad winners (such as Physics, Mathematics Olympiad) at World Science Day Ceremony, organized by National Science Foundation held at BMICH, Colombo in November.

Out of the gold medalists, four students will be selected after another examination, to participate International Biology Olympiad to be held in South Korea in July 2010. (But to participate International Competition age of the contestants should be below 20 years of age on 30 June 2010.)
