Sri Lankan Biology Olympiad was held on 29 June 2008 from 10.00 to 12.00 noon.

14 Gold, 15 Silver and 28 Bronze medals were awarded. Medal winners >

Medal winners will be notified and will be awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze medals at IOB sessions on 26 September 2008 at SLAAS, Vidya Mawatha, Colombo 7.  Best three students will also be felicitated with other National Olympiad winners (such as Physics, Mathematics Olympiad) at World Science Day Ceremony, organized by National Science Foundation held at BMICH, Colombo in November. Out of the best students four students will be eligible to participate International Biology Olympiad to be held in Tsukuba, Japan in July 2009. (But to participate International Competition age of the contestants should be below 20 years of age on 30 June 2009.)
