This was held on September 2007 at Department of Forestry and Environment Science, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Nugegoda.
Theme of the Sessions was "Plantation Forestry in Sri Lanka: Challenges and Constraints".
Chief guest of the Annual Sessions was Mr Sarath Fernando, Conservator General of Forests, Sri Lanka.
Prof W D Ratnasooriya was felicitated at this Sessions. Presidential address on "Plantation Forestry in Sri Lanka: Challenges and Constraints" was delivered by Dr. S.M.C.U.P. Subasinghe, President of the IOB.
26th Annual Sessions, 2006
This was held on 29th September 2006 at SLAAS Auditorium, Colombo 07.
Chief guest of the Annual Sessions was Vidya-Jyothi Eng ADS Gunawardana Secretary, Ministry of Irrigation.
Prof U Coomaraswamy, Vidya-Nidhi Prof S A Kulasooriya and Prof H G Nandadasa were felicitated at this Sessions.
Presidential address was delivered by Dr K Hirimburegama, President of the IOB. Inter-school Biology quiz competition Jointly organized with Young Biologists Association was also held.
25th Annual Sessions, 2005
This was held on 30 September 2005 at National Institute of Education, Maharaja.
Theme of the Sessions was "Trends in Biology Education".
Chief guest of the Annual Sessions was Prof M J S Wijeyaratne, Vice Chancellor, University of Keylaniya.
Prof Valentine Basnayake and Prof Carlo Fonseka were felicitated at this Sessions. Presidential address on "Trends in Biology education" was delivered by Mr C M R Antony, President of the IOB.

Sri Lanka wins a Silver Medal at International Biology Olympiad 2011
Arun Rajaratnam of Trinity College, Kandy won a Silver Medal at the International Biology Olympiad held at Taipei, Taiwan which concluded on 17 July 2011.
