Who are eligible to become a Fellow?
Every candidate for election or transfer to the category of Fellow shall satisfy the Council that he/she is at least 35 years of age and satisfies following requirements:
- The applicant possesses in any field of Biology, a Ph.D. Degree or equivalent qualifications from a recognized University and is a member for more than 10 years and has not less than 10 years of post-doctoral / responsible work experience in biological research or the teaching or application of Biology.
- The applicant is a person of eminence who has made an outstanding contribution to the development and advancement of biology as acceptable to the council.

Please download the application, fill it in, and email it with recent biodata and other relevant particulars as specified in the application to, the Secretary/IOBSL.

Applications must reach the secretary by the end of the month to be tabled at the following month’s council meeting. The outcome of your application will be notified soon after the council confirms. The effective date of your membership is the council date of its approval and the membership certificate will be awarded at the following annual general meeting.
