The Institute of Biology Sri Lanka (IOBSL) is proud to announce the launch of the Annual Biology Challenge 2026. This national competition invites undergraduate students from state and non-state universities across Sri Lanka to form interdisciplinary teams and develop innovative, forward-thinking proposals.

“Biotechnology towards a sustainable future”
Participants are challenged to design a compelling proposal that addresses real-world environmental and social issues using modern biotechnological applications.
Eligibility Criteria
To foster diverse perspectives and comprehensive problem-solving, teams must meet the following criteria:
- Target Audience: Currently enrolled undergraduates from any state or non-state university in Sri Lanka.
- Team Structure: Teams could be interdisciplinary, combining knowledge from biology, technology, engineering, or business.
